  2. Milking Parlor • A daily located in Wisconsin allows for the cows to be milked quickly.

  3. Chickens • Chickens are allowed to eat on a self feeder, and allows them to eat whenever they need to. Bedding is kept clean.

  4. Farms can be well managed to where they are kept clean.

  5. Hogs • Hogs are kept in clean pens, and are fed a balanced diet daily where they are able to mature.

  6. Mega Farming • Through technology, farmers are able to harvest much more acreage of crops quicker, and more efficiently.

  7. Mega Farming • Corn is an example of a crop that is genetically altered to produce high yields, without the harmful effects of pesticides or herbicides.

  8. Technology • Bigger farms are using this manure compactor to take manure and compress it into dry bales. The bales are then burned and turned into a usable form of energy.

  9. Crop Farming • Corn has been hybridized and developed to produce more corn.

  10. Good Care on the Facility • Veterinarians are on duty at the mega farms. This allows for the immediate care of the animals, and sometimes is the difference in saving its life.

  11. Facilities Mega farms are well ventilated , and insect control which gives the animals a proper shelter to grow.

  12. Ways of Preventing Diseases • To keep the risk of diseases to a minimum, the workers must wear rubber jumpsuits, and boots when working. • Another way of preventing disease from entering the farm is by vaccinating all the animals upon arrival.

  13. The End Goal • In the end, mega farms are able to produce a lot of the final product, which lowers the cost to the consumer.

  14. Animal Rights Group • Animals rights groups are for the humane treatment of animals. They raise money for animals who have been neglected or abused.
