  2. The cost of ICT? • Computers are free to schools • Computers come from the government, the LEA …supermarkets, parents, industry cast-offs • Computers are subsidised to schools • Computers are easy to install and maintain • Computers never go wrong • Computers last forever ?!!!

  3. The cost of ICT? • Replacement …ensuring you can stand still • Enhancement …improving things – but can you can afford it? At least: • Budget for ICT in your school • Develop a stand-still budget …from your own school budget

TV? …? • How will ICT be used in the school of the future? school ( teaching, learning, managing )? community? home? personal? …? • Who will pay for ICT? Government? School? Parents? …?
