Opening Comments • Foremost objectives for this project are: • Replace a structurally deficient bridge • Construct a new bridge that is safe and one that meets both current and future needs for all users • Service life is expected to be 50-75 years • Keep the new bridge small to stay within right of way, reduce cost, and match context of the Great Falls area • Two lane design was initially developed because Beach Mill Road is a facility with two lanes • Single lane option for Beach Mill Road was also developed based on community feedback

Purpose • Focus is to obtain community comment on bridge configuration and appearance • Configuration • Single lane • Two lanes • Appearance • Rustic appearance  timber deck supported by steel beams • Modern appearance  precast concrete with asphalt wearing surface • Present an assessment of each alternative on how well it meets project objectives • Ensure that every potential stakeholder and advocacy group has opportunity to comment on the design & proposed project • Begin obtaining consensus for final design

What Happens Next? • Comments due by July 8 • Submit tonight in ballot box • Email • Mail • Court reporter • Summary of comments will be prepared by mid-late July & published via email & on the project website • Design exceptions and waivers requested in July-August • Formal report summarizing comments, scope, and design features will be submitted for approval to the Chief Engineer in September • Update Supervisor’s office, GFCA, & the website
