  2. The Goals Fellows & Graduates– Creating opportunities for learning and acquiring knowledge, skill development, and establishing essential contacts for professional development. The Graduates Unit– Strengthening the infrastructures enabling innovation and partnerships between the unit, the Mandel community, and other critical players in the social and educational fields. The Mandel Community – The establishment anddevelopment of theMandel community as a learning community that identifies needs and initiates solutions. The Mandel Leadership Institute & Foundation – Based on the insight of the Fellows & Graduates, who have unique theoretical and practical knowledge and perspectives; the Round Table can be a tool for Graduates in influencing policy by identifying topics which are currently on the social and educational-public agenda in Israel.

  3. The individual level Creating opportunities for learning, knowledge acquisition, skill development, and establishing essential contacts for professional development. Acquiring and developing skills Learning, knowledge creation and dissemination Forming opportunities for establishing and developing professional contacts

  4. The individual level Acquiring and developing skills Acquiring academic skills (inquiry, research methods, identifying topics, classification, writing skills, etc.). Developing the skills necessary to apply a theoretical principals to policies and practice; and the skills of applying theory to practice, and practice to theory. Gaining the skills for establishing professional contacts. Developing the skills for organizing, managingand teamleading, and managing projects. Learning the necessary skills for creatingeffective presentations.

  5. The individual level Learning, knowledge creation and dissemination Developing the ability to acquire, create, and disseminate knowledge.

Second level – Content experts who join ad hoc to projects, and experts already related to MLI (David Cohen, Sam Wineburg) The individual level Developing of opportunities for establishing contacts occurs on three levels: First level –Graduates, the Fellows & Faculty Third level – The education and social sectors in Israel andworldwide

  7. All this, while maintaining a level of relevancy to the educational field and the individual needs of the Graduates

  8. The Graduate Unit Establishing and strengthening infrastructures enabling innovation and partnerships between the unit, the Mandel community, and other players in the field. Strengthening the infrastructures enabling the extraction, development and assimilation of knowledge and tools. Providing MGU with opportunities to develop partnerships and expand the Mandel Community network. Strengthening MGU’s innovative outlook and adaptability to the changing environment. The individual development of staff members in the unit as learningpartners and creators of knowledge.

  9. The Mandel community Developing & establishing the Mandel community as a learning community Creating opportunities for the community to view itself as aresource of knowledge. A tool for renewal and growth processes in organizations, assisting their adaptation to a changing reality. Forming a learning infrastructure for creating knowledge andexchange (internal databases & forums, seminars, routine meetings).

The Mandel leadership Institute Situate MLI’s Graduates as a significant leaders influencing education and social policy Identifying subjects which are acute and relevant to the education system, and which are currently situated both on the agenda of the public and policy makers. Exposing the fellows and Graduates to a senioracademic staff, Ministry of Education staff, members of Knesset, and professional colleagues in the education, social science and media sectors. To situate the fellows and Graduates as the link between the academic and practical world. To create awareness in the educational field and in the general public about MLI’s Graduates’ significant contribution to the field of education in Israel.
