  8. Breakdown of grading

  9. Grading Policy: The purpose of collecting grades is to assess students' mastery of
content and skills, not just effort.  Make-up work will be accepted when a student is absent. Arrangements
for completing the work should be made as soon as possible; the student is
given 5 days to do so. Arrangements must include a schedule for completion of the work. Students are encouraged to check my wiki or call classmates when absent to stay on top of class assignments. If you forget to turn in homework, you will need to fill out a pink slip for my records.  Late work will be accepted, but a deduction of 10 points will be given for each late day.

  10. Classroom expectations Follow rules of behavior and instructions the first time they are given Speak respectfully and only when given permission Keep your hands and feet to yourself Stay in your seat Do your best - put forth effort and take pride in your work No gum or candy

  11. Tutoring Tutoring will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:00 - 8:30. Students need to notify me in advance and should bring something specific to work on. Tutoring is NOT a time for babysitting!

  12. Contact info... Check my teacher wiki site,
http://emeselsyfert.cmswiki.wikispaces.net/ for class information, including daily lessons and notes. You can also access my site through the Crestdale website under the "faculty and staff" tab. http://schools.cms.k12.nc.us/crestdaleMS/Pages/Default.aspx Smartboard presentations from that day's lesson will be available in Powerpoint format on my wiki. 32. And now... Tell me interesting things about YOU! Each line needs to be specific to YOU! Limit "favorites" to one sentence and NO favorite colors! Remember, all descriptions must be in complete sentences. Finish this for homework if you do not finish in class. We will present these on Thursday. If you want to make a poster, include pictures or drawings that would be great!
