Harrison Peters - An Assistant Principal

Harrison Peters began his career in education as an elementary school teacher in Apopka, Florida. Since his early days in the classroom, he has stepped into many leadership positions including assistant principal, assistant superintendent, dean of students, and chief of schools. Working in large districts such as Chicago Public Schools, Hillsborough County Schools, and Houston Independent School District, he is devoted to serving students and improving core proficiencies. He is the co-founder of MCEL.

  2. An Elementary School Teacher Harrison Peters began his career in education as an elementary school teacher in Apopka, Florida. Since his early days in the classroom, he has stepped into many leadership positions including assistant principal, assistant superintendent, dean of students, and chief of schools.

  3. An Administrator Educator and administrator, Harrison Peters started his career in an elementary classroom before assuming various leadership roles in schools throughout the country. A graduate of Nova Southeastern University and the University of South Florida, he was honored as Zeta Tau Lambda’s Outstanding Educator

  4. CEO of Men of Color in Educational Leadership Harrison Peters is the co-founder and CEO of Men of Color in Educational Leadership (MCEL). Tapping into his prolific career as a school administrator, he identified a need for leadership support, particularly as it pertains to minorities in leadership positions.

  5. Master’s In Educational Leadership Harrison Peters has a master’s in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University, and he completed a specialist’s degree in school transformation through the University of South Florida. He has served in various administration roles for large school districts, and through his experiences identified the need for better leadership support.

  6. A Leader Harrison Peters is a leader, educator, and inspiration. He began his career in the elementary classroom and continued to drive his career forward with new challenges and achievements. He has worked in large school districts facing the challenge of fewer resources.
