  1. Steps for the Principal/Assistant Principal Evaluations FY12

  2. Please NOTE the following: • Area Office will Evaluate the schools that were in their area for FY12.

  3. District Process • Area Office meets with Principals to complete the Principal Evaluations • Principals take VAM Score information back to their schools to complete the Assistant Principal Evaluations for their FY12 School Assignment • All Evaluations are turned into the appropriate FY12 Area Office • Area Office turns in all Administrator Evaluations to HR

  4. Principal/Assistant Principal FY12 Evaluations • These evaluations will be done using: • Form 1485- Leadership Performance Appraisal System for Principals • Form 1483 - Leadership Performance Appraisal System for Assistant Principals • The process will be completed in hard copy, not through electronic means.

  5. Principal/Assistant Principal FY12 Evaluations • The form is very similar to the form used in the past, with the following exceptions: • The Evaluation Rating uses four (4) ratings • The Final Evaluation Score is based on 50% Leadership Performance Score and 50% Student Growth Score.

  6. Principal Evaluations • FY12 • Scoring this form will require manual entry. • Each Leadership Performance Competency is to be scored using the drop down ratings. • All scores will be listed on the ratings page, use the key below to score part 1.

  7. Assistant Principal • Evaluations • FY12 • Scoring this form will require manual entry. • Each Leadership Performance Competency is to be scored using the drop down ratings. • All scores will be listed on the ratings page, use the key below to score part 1.

  8. Principal/Assistant Principal FY12 Evaluations • Enter the Part 1 Score • Enter the Student Growth Score provided for your school. • Use the chart to determine the Final Evaluation based on Part 1 and Part 2 of the evaluation.

  9. Principal/Assistant Principal FY12 Evaluations • The last page is for comments, acknowledgement, and signatures. • Once the form is completed, please send the evaluations to the area office.

Principal/Assistant Principal FY12 Evaluations • Please note that a video will be available for administrator evaluations demonstrating the steps to complete each form. • The video will be attached as an action button directly on the forms for easy reference. • The District Service/Help Desk will be available to assist with issues for the evaluation. • Call (561) 242-4100 or PX# 44100
