  2. Where is our school “St.Sofia” Private Primary School is situated at the foot of Vitosha mountain in Sofia. There is a new extension for the youngest pupils from prep-school to 3rd grade. Sofia is the capital of Bulgaria. It is biggest town of Bulgaria.

  3. The building Our school is situated in a beautiful old building. There is a new extension. The school building itself incorporates 18 classrooms, separate rooms for EL and Arts teaching, a computer lab, 2 gyms, a nurse room and a psychologist’s office, a canteen, a staff-room and a Principal’s office; a basketball field, an tennis-court and ping-pong tables.

  4. Our history “St.Sofia” Private School is the first privateprimary school licensed by the Ministry of Education and Science as a primary school (1-7th grade) 19years ago. Now “St.Sofia” is school with leading position in the Bulgarian system of education.

  5. European projects “Saint Sofia” Private Primary School works already for 10 years on the international project “Socrates” and “Comenius” for collaboration in the field of education.

  6. The students, as well as the teachers constantly communicate and exchange information by letters and Internet inoprmation on the projects. This happened to be a very interesting way to know our partners and learn in an interesting way..

  7. School life • The school organizes yearly: • Christmas concert at the end of December • May Piano Outplaying – a concert of the piano-players of the school • A big school concert

  8. A series of other concerts and festivals, e.g the Letters Festival; • The End-of-the-Year celebrations, • Celebration of some typical Bulgarian and International holidays, etc.

  9. The Uniform We do not have uniforms in our school.

  10. Charity We actively cooperate with “For the Kids” Foundation and “PokrovBogorodichen”, giving assistance to Homes for mentally disabled children. We have adopted two animals in Sofia Zoo We aid several state- owned kindergartens.

  11. English • In ‘Saint Sofia’ Private School there is a working system for the preparation of children and their successful presentation at exams for a level in English language. • Pitman and Cambridge Qualification with different levels.

  12. Sport • We are traditional participants in many competitions among schools in: • Minif-football • Table tennis • Ski • Basketball

  13. ART • At our school we offer interest classes • dances and choreography • painting and applied arts • computer studies • music and piano and many other

Children from “Saint Sofia” Private Primary School take part in: - Children’s Radio Choir - Vocal-theatrical groups “Bon-bon”, “Kalinki” and “Talasamcheta” - Dance formation “Usmivki” - Children’s formation at “Ivan Vazov” National Theater We actively take part in competitions on literary themes among schools.

  15. Painting We actively take part in competitions in painting. - National competition 2003 - “Let’s be good”, organized by “Idea” Foundation - Competition for children’s painting “My World” - In the person March, 1st-5th, 2003, KARIM Gallery presented an International exhibition of children’s paintings, organized by the Agency for Refugees at the Cabinet Council of Republic of Bulgaria.Paintings of seven students from our school were awarded; Every year we organize all-school exhibitions of students art.
