He served only one year before becoming Assistant Superintendent of Erie Schools and later Superintendent. An Erie School District school bears his name. Look for the Academy Lion Trivia Answer Jar at all lunches to make your guess. One winning answer from each lunch will receive a special Prize.

  4. Spirits of Academy DaysTuesday November 11thBlue and Gold Day Academy’s traditional school colors are Blue and Gold. Show your pride in this tradition by wearing Blue and Gold clothing. What to Wear: Shirts (Tops) may be Blue or Gold and a collar is not required, but they may not violate the Erie City School District Dress Code (ie. no tank tops, midriff shirts, spaghetti straps or sleeveless shirts) Pants (Bottoms) may be Blue or Gold color but no blue jeans, pajamas, shorts or sweat pants. Show Your Individuality– Every day during Spirit Week is Crazy Socks Day. Wear your most unique socks, take a picture and send it to rtaylor@eriesd.org. Winners will receive awards and Special recognition on Friday.
