  2. What is a science fair? • A science fair is generally a competition where contestants present their science project experiments and results in the form of a report, display board, and models that they have created.

  3. When AND where is the science fair? • The Science Fair will be held Feb. 20 and Feb. 21. • It will be held at the Newell Middle School gymnasium.

What grades can participate? • Grades K-12 can participate in the science fair. • Primary - grades K-2 • Work can be • Handwritten • Typed • Printouts done only by student on backdrop • Intermediate - grades 3-5 • Grades 3, 4 and 5 are required to complete the elementary log book • Log book is to accompany project exhibit and have a cover • Junior high - grade 6-8 • Log book • Abstract • Senior High - grades 9-12 • Log book required and abstract required • Work must be typed or be a computer printout completed only by student • Typed work recommended if considering regional competition
