On August 16, 2010, the City Council approved a program allowing eligible customers to donate portions of their water rate credits to the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) via the Pasadena Education Foundation (PEF). As of June 30, 2010, over $1.4 million in credits was available from 3,500 single-family, 770 multi-family, and 553 commercial/industrial accounts. Customers will receive a letter around October 20 to elect how much of their credit to contribute. Donations are tax-deductible and must be returned by November 15 for processing.
