New Leaders – Leadership at Scale for High Poverty Schools In 2000, New Leaders was founded to confront the education crisis and address the need for strong school leaders who could transform underperforming schools. New Leaders currently serve 300,000 students - 90 percent of whom are students of color and 85 percent of whom are from low-income households.
