  2. The main idea The unit deals with families . Some families have a lot of children. Others, have a few. We will learn about one of the families in Iowa . Bobby and Kenny had a one-year-old daughter. Bobby had trouble becoming pregnant. After trying fertility drugs , she gave birth to seven babies at a time. They were seven tiny miracles.

  6. Making predictions with: is / are / am going to We can make predictions using “be going to “ I am going to have a baby next month. We are going to be good parents in the future. He is going to be a doctor when he grows up. You are going to have triplets.

  7. Negative form We use “is not / are not / am not + going to “ when we form negative statements. They are not going to change their jobs. I am not going to become a doctor when I grow up. She is not going to get married next month. We are not going to drive cars when we grow old.

  8. Yes /No questions : Are you going to be a doctor ? Yes , I am – No , I’m not Is she going to have a baby ? Yes , she is – No , she isn’t Am I going to have a boy ? Yes , you are .- No, you aren’t

  9. Wh questions What are you going to do ? Where is she going to go ? Why is she going to buy a new house ? When are they going to become parents? How are you going to play the game ? Who is going to help Bobby?

  10. Using “because” We use “because” to give reasons . “Because” always answers the question “Why”. Why did Bobby take fertility drugs ? Bobby took fertility drugs because she wanted to have another baby.
