  3. JISC - Institutional innovation projects in lifelong learning and workforce development Assist employers in accrediting their in-house training with universities through work-based learning. Help universities and students to compare courses from two different educational institutions for credit transfer by finding the % similarity between courses. The Project

  5. The MUSKET Tool Consists of 2 main tools: Transform Tool Semantic Tool To find the % similarity between module description documents To convert Word documents into XCRI format

Why have Transformation tool? • Not all institutions are ready to submit their course information database for mapping to XCRI. • Not all institutions have a course database, e.g companies having in-house training courses have their descriptions in word documents • Time consuming to carry out the repetitive task of converting each module document into XCRI

  11. Semantic Tool • The tool will compare the % semantic similarity between courses or modules • Musket semantic tool will read the XCRI file ( using Xml 2 OWL application), and output the different owl files of each course.
