  2. Mouth Cancer Oral Cancer Oral Cancer, also known as mouth cancer is a type of head and neck cancer and is any cancerous tissue growth located in the oral cavity. The oral cavity includes the following: • The front two thirds of the tongue. • The gingiva (gums). • The buccal mucosa (the lining of the inside of the cheeks).

This happens due progressive fibrosis of submucosal tissues and juxta-epithelial inflammatory reactions.
