  2. HSU: Dedicated to protect the rights of Health Professionals in Australia It is due to the hard work of health workers that Australia enjoys a world class health care system. The Health Services Union or HSU works towards safeguarding the rights of health workers in Australia along with offering a host of benefits to its members. If you are a health professional or allied health worker, it’s advisable that you become a member of HSU.

  3. The health services union has initiated several campaigns to protect the rights of health workers. These include campaigns as: • “$1000 no way campaign”- to protest against growing parking fees • “We all matter campaign”- to make people realize the importance of healthcare workers • “Know Bullying campaign”- to stop workplace bullying issues

  4. HSU also offers Journey Insurance and Bereavement benefits to its members. Under the Journey Insurance, a member is provided with monetary support of up to 85% of his weekly wage to a maximum of $1500 every week in case he/she gets injured on the way to or from work. In case of death of HSU member, the next of kin gets $10,000 as bereavement benefit.
