  2. What Makes Sound Vibration- A back-and-forth motion Sound Waves-It is a vibration that spreads away from a vibrating object

  3. How sound is Produced by Strings A thinner string vibrates faster and produces a higher-pitched sound than a thicker string. When you press the frets, you change the length of the vibrating portions of the strings.

  4. What makes sound Compression-The part of a sound wave where molecules are crowded together. Rarefaction-The part of a sound wave where molecules are spread apart.

  5. What can sound Go Through solids-a form of matter that has a definite shape and takes up a definite amount of space liquids-a form of matter that takes up a definite amount of space and has no definite Gas-a form of matter that does not take up a definite amount of space and has no definite shape.
