SoCalGas LIEE Contractor Selection Process LIOB Meeting June 19, 2007
SoCalGas LIEE Contractor Selection Process • SoCalGas contracts directly with CBO’s and private contractors for the delivery of LIEE services • SoCalGas LIEE service providers have a long history of providing energy-efficient home improvements to limited-income customers (10-20 years) • Over half of SoCalGas’ LIEE weatherization service providers are also LIHEAP providers, enabling the opportunity to leverage the services offered by both programs • Pricing is negotiated annually and service providers utilize same pricing for measure installations • Factors considered when selecting new LIEE service providers: • Experience providing energy-efficient home improvements • Ability to leverage services with other programs • Ability to deliver services in underserved areas and communities identified by SoCalGas 2
