Issues • Classifications need to be tailored to suit island situation • Q2/3 – Good • Q4 – list down the actual crops (from experience) and they can put down number of plants and area. • Use of area measurement – Rugby Field for visualisation • Q4 – Take OUT the ‘not grown’ option this is covered in the second option.

  4. Issues • Q5 – Good • Q6 – List the crops • Q7 - Add on (3 x planting methods) take out ‘compact’ plantation – mono, intercropping and scattered. (up to individual countries) • Q8 – Good • Q9 – Up to countries – definition (confusing – meadows) • Q10 – Meadows – Pastures (definition)

  5. Issues • Q11 – Rephrase the question : Good as it covers socio-economic factors affecting agriculture (other uses : housing, renting of property) • Q12 –Good – its ok • Q13 – Q21 Tailor it to country specific needs and those are common and its up to each to

  6. Issues • Q22 – Head of Household, Head of Holding : country specific (Could be moved to the front of this questionnaire so that you can identify who is going to be interviewed.) • Q23 – Good, tailor to each country • Q24 – Good, tailor to each country

  7. recommendations • Include fishery questions into the supplementary questionnaire (take into account the significance of fishing – not to go into detail as such). Surveys will take care of all the information. (SAMOA EXPERIENCE)
