  2. Where in the world is Tonga located? • Box 1. Tonga is located at the east of the Indian ocean and south of the Pacific ocean and Tonga has no continent because Tonga are little tiny islands in the pacific. Tonga is one of the pacific islands. So their ocean is the Pacific ocean, and Tonga is in the Southern Hemisphere. Tonga is bordered by no countries because Tonga is a bunch of islands. The Pacific ocean borders Tonga.

  6. Flag • Box 10. Describe the national flag of this country? • Tonga has red all over and at the top left corner there’s white over there.

  7. Landmarks • Box 11. What are the famous landmarks or places in this country? • Natural Structures- Fonualei fumarole field – Vava'u, Fonualei. Active island volcano with an active field of fumaroles in the centre. Frequent eruptions. Home Reef – Vava'u. Ephemeral volcanic island, which after eruptions rises above the sea and then is washed away. Last time such event took place in 2006, when the island became 0.5 by 1.5 km large, with hot crater lakes on it. There are several more such ephemeral islands in Tonga. Man- made structures- Tongoleleka – Ha'apai, Lifuka Island. A site of ancient settlement from Lapita period (850 BC). Found nearly 50,000 sherds of ceramics, including many sherds of decorated Lapita ceramics. Site is rich with remnants of extinct reptiles (the up to 1.2 m large iguana Brachxylophus gibbonsi), megapode (Megapodus alimentum), many extinct doves and other extinct species. • I chose these ones because they sound exciting and adventurous and it’s like attractive and I feel like I want to go there and explore.

  9. Famous people • Find out about 3 famous people that are from Tonga who are they and what are they famous for? • Jonah Lomu is a famous rugby player, Tupou VI is famous because he is a king in Tonga and last but not least Siale” ataongoTu” iva Kano because he is the prime minister in Tonga

If you were to travel to this country where are the 10 places you would go to. • I would go to meet Jonah Lomu, I would go to Fonualei fumarole field – Vava'u, Fonualei and explore I would go to the beach, I would meet the king, and the prime minister, I would go see their money, have fun, and relax.
