EXPERIENCING DONOR COORDINATION • A chance to implement larger and more more inovative projects • Donor funds are a chance for Knowledge and experience sharing • Strong need in donor money to push the boundaries • Try to organise multi-donor funds and facilities • Beneficiaries must keep the leadership of the project • Strong local presence and local governmemt support helps ensuring coordination • Donors must have sknowledge of the market • Donors should push for increased transparency • Donors should agree on a common reporting platform and core indicators • Donors should push private – public partnerships, although the “timings” are very different • Donors have different selection processes which makes it difficult to coordinate prior to the grant awards • Are the funding opportunities visible enough? Initiatives such as MFW4A • Can donors organise speed-dating for good projects that did not get funding?
