  2. Who was Henry VIII? • Henry was a talented man.But he was a cruel king. • Henry wasn’t a chicken, he started many deadly battles. • 78000 people were executed while Henry was king!! (Here’s one!)

  3. Henry as a young man • Prince Henry, was born on 28 June 1491 at Greenwich. • Henry had a very spoilt childhood. He even had his own ‘whipping boy’ who was punished every time Henry did something wrong! • Women found him attractive!

  4. Henry as a King • Henry as a king turned out to be a bull of a man because of his vast amount of eating. • Henry was a skilled jouster. In 1536 he was seriously injured while jousting and had to stop doing it. • Henry loved watching bears fight dogs!

  5. Henry’s six wives • This is a picture of Anne Boleyn before and after! • He had five other wives,and this is how you remember them all: • Divorced; Beheaded; Died. Divorced; Beheaded; Survived!!!!

  6. Life in Tudor times • Toilets were just a piece of wood over a hole. • Everybody drank 8 pints of beer a day-even kids! • Girls were married at age twelve! • 9 out of 10 people died before they were forty!
