  1. LOOK UP Nehemiah 5:14-6:19

  2. Retaining wall Perimeter wall Coastal wall

  3. 1 CORINTHIANS 12 12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many. 26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

  4. WHAT IS MY PART OF THE WALL?

  5. Wall: A Christian’s God-ordained purpose in advancing the kingdom of God

  6. The fear of God • The threat of man • The victory from God

  7. Nehemiah 5 9 Then I said, “What you are doing is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations, our enemies? 15 But the former governors who were before me laid burdens on the people, and took from them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people, but I did not do so, because of the fear of God.

  8. The fear of the Lord will dictate the conduct of the Christian

  9. 29 Because they hated knowledgeAnd did not choose the fear of the Lord,30 They would have none of my counselAnd despised my every rebuke.31 Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way…. 33 But whoever listens to me will dwell safely,And will be secure, without fear of evil. Proverbs 1:29-31,33

  10. 1 My son, if you receive my words,And treasure my commands within you,2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom,Andapply your heart to understanding;3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment,Andlift up your voice for understanding,4 If you seek her as silver,And search for her as for hidden treasures;5 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord,And find the knowledge of God.6 For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;8 He guards the paths of justice,And preserves the way of His saints.9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice,Equity and every good path. Proverbs 2:1-9

  11. The fear of the Lord is an active pursuit of who God is and what He desires , because you know that without Him, you are nothing.

  12. 27“Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:27-31

  13. 5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him! Luke 12:5

  14. You cannot successfully engage in spiritual warfare without the fear of God

  15. 1Now it happened when Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshemthe Arab, and the rest of our enemies heard that I had rebuilt the wall, and that there were no breaks left in it (though at that time I had not hung the doors in the gates), 2 that Sanballat and Geshemsent to me… Nehemiah 6:1-2

  16. Spiritual warfare through the threat of man will never overcome the power of the Holy Spirit

  17. 15So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of Elul, in fifty-two days. 16 And it happened, when all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations around us saw these things, that they were very disheartened in their own eyes; for they perceived that this work was done by our God. Nehemiah 6:15-16

  18. GOD GUARANTEES VICTORY!

  19. When something has the fingerprints of God on it, all our enemies notice it also -David Guzik

  20. You will never win spiritual warfare against you as long as you compromise your position in the Lord.
