CWPPRA Path Forward • We are committed to moving forward with projects that are currently part of the process - projects that have received phase 1 or phase 2 funding. • As projects begin to falter we need to discuss. • Starting with next round of new projects we will not support projects that are not consistent with the project areas identified in the Master Plan Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana

LCA Overview • Near Term Features included in 2005 Chief’s Report • 15 near-term features to address • Demonstration Program • Beneficial Use of dredged material program • Science and Technology Program • Section 7004 Protection and Restoration Task Force • Section 7013 Mississippi River Gulf Outlet • $5 to $8 Billion program Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana

  10. LCA - Current Status • Missed 10 feasibility report deadlines • Have spent more than $108.6M • Have committed to spend $177.3M • Only 6 projects have moved beyond feasibility and into Engineering and Design • No finalized designs or firm construction schedules

LCA - Proposed Path Forward • Initial Projects – • MRGO environmental restoration • Small Diversion at Hope Canal • Barataria Basin Barrier Shoreline – Continue in LCA • Small Bayou Lafourche Reintroduction • Medium Diversion at Myrtle Grove – Continue in LCA • Additional Projects- • Land Bridge at Calliou Lake- Continue under current agreement • Gulf Shoreline a Point Au Fer Island- Continue under current agreement • Modification to Canaervon- Continue under current agreement • Modification to Davis Pond- Continue under current agreement • Projects Subject to Reports • Multipurpose Operation of Houma Navigation Lock- Combined with Convey • Terrebonne Basin Barrier Shoreline Restoration – Continue as State led • Small Diversion at Convent/Blind – Continue in LCA • Amite River Diversion Canal Modification – Continue as State led • Medium Diversion at White’s Ditch – Continue in LCA • Convey Atchafalaya River Water to Northern Terrebonne- Continue under CWPPRA
