Engagement Research Effective schools and teachers: • Convey high expectations for success • Provide student choices • Make curriculum and instruction relevant to adolescents’ experiences, culture and long-term goals • Personalize instruction, show interest in student lives and provide supporting social context.

  9. The Road Map Project Goal Doublethe number of students in South King County and South Seattle who are on track to graduate from college or earn a career credential by 2020.

Regional Career Exploration • Online Career Research opportunities are provided to all secondary students in only one district. • Career Exploration through field trips, career fairs, access to CTE electives, job shadows and internships are offered however, data is not collected on the impact of these experiences nor on how many and which students a experience these opportunities.
