Enhancing Research Data Citability: DOI Registration and Services at GESIS

This document outlines the efforts of the GESIS Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences in Berlin to enhance the citability of research data through the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registration service. It details the establishment of a registry service that has registered approximately 5,000 DOI names and included 2,465 OECD metadata sets. Furthermore, the document highlights the extension of DOI services to economic data and the development of add-on services, aimed at facilitating access and citation in academic research.
