Starting from a thought, this journey led to building a successful Recruitment & HR Services company, focusing on Indigenous recruitment and retention. Meeting partners who shared values and goals, assistance from mentors and government, and hard work paid off, expanding to multiple locations and gaining contracts. The future involves enhancing Indigenous employment, establishing partnerships, and acquiring international recruitment companies. Join us in making a difference!   2. In the Beginning.... • It was just a thought ! • What to do ? • Where to go ? • Who can help ? • Who would understand ?

  3. Meeting Partner • Think alike • Same ideas • Same values • Same goals • Want to make a difference

  4. Now What do we do ? • Started out getting ideas on paper • Put together a business plan • Put together a financial plan

  5. Starting • Heard about IBA • Assistance • Mentors • Apply for assistance • Approaching the NT Government

  6. Seeking Assistance • Once I was accepted • Support was superb • IBA nominated a mentor • Meeting to get all our ideas on paper • Will it succeed ? • Assistance with start up from NT Government

  7. Hard Work • Opened our doors in February 2011 • Mentor met monthly • Put together action plan –Things to do • Decided to concentrate on four areas • Recruitment • Scribing • Mentoring & Support • HR Services

  8. The first Nine Months.... • Like having a baby • Watching monies • Nursing all clients • Meeting new people • Learning lots

Where we are today • Watching it grow • Permanent and Temporary placements • 3 year contract with Federal Government agency • Scribing for Recruitment, Board Meetings & Note taking for multiple agencies • Hard work is paying off • Opened in Queensland • Establishing Partnerships • NSW, SA & WA

The Future • Indigenous - Membership of AIMSC • Able to assist companies with their Indigenous Recruitment • Meeting New Clients • Building further relationships • Hoping to increase the number of Indigenous apprentices and trainees • Concentrating on retention rates • Continuing with our volunteering work with assisting Indigenous youth
