ECS 210 – Comic Strip

In the comic strip "ECS.210", Mike Schienbein embarks on his first day at a new teaching job, eager to instill his own values and beliefs in the classroom. However, he quickly discovers that the reality of teaching can be challenging and unpredictable.   2. Teacher Mike sets out for this first day at his new teaching job.

  3. Mike has established a plan of action for teaching his own values and beliefs in his classroom.

  4. Mike soon realizes that teaching does not always go as planned and being a first year teacher is difficult.

  5. Mike, in search of advice, realizes that new teachers are not always welcomed with open arms by the authority.

  6. Mike seeks the advice of a veteran teacher who begins to build back his confidence.

  7. Throughout the struggles, Mike maintained his values and beliefs and is both a better person and teacher because of it.
