The Wyoming Water Development Program (WWDP), established in 1979, aims to enhance the state's optimal development of water resources through planning, construction, and management. Funded by Mineral Severance Taxes, the WWDP offers financial support for various project levels. Fully state-funded Level I and II studies are available for public entities, and Level III projects can receive a combination of grants and loans. Basin Advisory Groups (BAGs) are encouraged to work with the WWDP to promote sustainable water projects, providing leadership, education, and community engagement.
