  3. Grammar Man is challenging you to test your grammar skills…. • Take the following two excerpts and correct the capitalization mistakes in you writer’s notebook. You must rewrite the excerpts, using the correct capitalization. Use the rules we learned on Friday. • today is my first day at mona shores middle school. i was really nervous this morning, but i have met a lot of new friends and everyone has been nice. as soon as i walked into my first hour, i heard a girl say, “you can sit by me.” this made me feel welcome. maybe this move wasn’t such a bad thing after all…. • roses are red • violets are blue • i love early release days • and so does amy sue
