  4. Evidence • Proof that experts study when there is no written record

  5. Evidence • Examples – rocks, bones, fossils, bullets, fingerprints, blood • How will I remember this? • The word proof, crime scene, evident = absolute proof

  6. Archeologists • People who locate and study the things left behind by people

  7. Archeologist • Examples – they look for tools, clothes, weapons, Indiana Jones • How will I remember this? • Indiana Jones, artifacts • Arch – shows there was a building there

  8. Paleoanthropologists • People who study the ancestors of modern people (they study the bones)
