  1. ASIS Foundation/Military Liaison Council Certification Scholarship

ASIS Foundation/Military LiaisonCouncil Scholarship • Rewards outstanding active duty military personnel by providing them the opportunity to earn an ASIS certification. • This scholarship will cover certification application fees, provide a set of certification reference materials, and fund an online certification review course.  • The number of scholarships awarded will be dependent on the number of qualified applications received and the funds available that have been set aside for the purposes of this scholarship. • Scholarship winners will be announced annually at the ASIS International Seminar Law Enforcement/Military Appreciation Luncheon.

  3. ASIS Foundation/Military LiaisonCouncil Scholarship • Application Packages - Submitted directly to the ASIS Foundation by 24 June 2014. Must include the following: • Completed award application. • Cover/nomination letter signed by the military member’s unit/organizational commanding officer or staff director. Cover/nomination letter should highlight nominated individual’s mission/duty accomplishments, self-improvement efforts, and community involvement/leadership. It should not exceed two pages in length and must be written in English. • Essay completed by the nominated individual covering why they are pursuing a professional certification. It should not exceed one double-spaced typed page. It should be written in a 12-point, “Arial” or “Times New Roman” font and must be written in English. • Completed ASIS certification application for the certification they are applying.
