The Impact of Winter Temperatures on Summer Weather in U.S. Cities

This study investigates whether winter temperatures influence summer temperatures in Orlando, FL; Flagstaff, AZ; and Anchorage, AK. Two hypotheses were tested: the null hypothesis (no correlation) and the alternate hypothesis (a positive relationship exists). Findings suggest that winter temperatures significantly affect summer temperatures in Flagstaff and Anchorage but not in Orlando. Challenges included limited data available for the desired years and locations outside the U.S. The research concludes that regional climate variations impact seasonal temperature relationships.
