  2. Proper Nouns When you are looking for proper nouns ask yourself: • Does it start with a capital letter? • Does it tell me the name of one particular person, place, animal or thing?

  3. Proper Nouns Bobby went to school. What words are capitalized? Bobby Is Bobby the name of specific person? Yes Is it a proper noun? Yes

  4. Proper Nouns I went to Atlanta. What words are capitalized? I and Atlanta Is I the name of a specific person? No Is Atlanta the name of specific place? Yes Is it a proper noun? Yes
