March 21, 2010 Weekly Newsletter Today we will be remembering the poor with a special worship service. We’ll take up our Manila contribution and have a special focus of prayer and study with the recent earthquake, floods and disasters affecting so many. Members are invited to have a special time of prayer and fasting this week as they are able. Singles – Wednesday, March 24that 7:30pm - The singles are hosting an informal ‘meet and greet’ session with Bill and Hilary Kunes. We’ll have light appetizers and drinks, as well as an informal question and answer time. This meeting is for singles of all ages and is a great opportunity to see where our Singles Ministry is headed! More information on this event and others can be found on the Singles Table in the back of the auditorium by the window. This Wednesday and next Wednesday, we will meet in Family Groups. These are the last 2 Family Groups before we begin our new groups in April. This will help us research some current issues. Maintenance Rooms – Please do not put any items in any of the maintenance rooms without first checking with Brad Nead. These rooms are not for storage and items left there will be thrown out. Please see Brad with any questions. Teen Paintball! March 27th from 11 am – 1 pm at Paintball Country in West Chester. See John Cleghorn for Waiver form. Camp Registration is here! Camp registration begins this week. See John Cleghorn for registration forms. Dates for camp are: Explorer (9th-12th) June 27th – July 3rd . Navigators (3rd- 5th grade) July 1st – July 4th (the church is invited to join campers for worship July 4th at Camp Graham, then all will be dismissed). Camp Discovery (6th – 8th grade) July 25th – July 30th Youth and Family Weekend in Detroit April 16 – 18 has been canceled. The Ohio Churches are sponsoring an Ohio Valley Bible and Leadership Training Class. This class will begin in April (Old Testament History) and include extensive reading and online training. This is a great opportunity to build depth and passion in our bible study and also build unity within the Ohio churches. If interested, please see Jim or John Cleghorn.
