Good Listening in Class • Be ready! Have your assignments complete. Have a good attitude. • LISTEN and be attentive. • Manage your environment as best you can.
Before Taking Notes • Review the material your teacher is going to cover. • Complete all classwork and homework assignments before class! • Come to class with materials you need.
During Note Taking • Listen for important signal words: • “The most important point…: • “Remember that…” • “What you need to know” • DUH! “This will be on the test…: • Write quickly but legibly. • Write “?” next to what you don’t understand.
