  5. Payment Schedule cont. Payment 3 $170 Covers all meal costs. Included lunch and dinner on Wednesday, B/L/D on Thursday thru Saturday and a snack for the bus ride home.   6. The How and Why of Fundraising Planned events: Chocolate Sales Fundraiser concert for each grade Catalog Sale Credit will be assigned to the farthest out payment due, then work backwards.
  7. Parents, want to play? In order to chaperone, parents/relatives must submit a completed volunteer packet to the front office at CMS (packets available online or in the front office) All volunteers are subject to a background check. County Office takes approximately 6 weeks to approve volunteers, so please act early! Please submit the forms no later than Sept. 6. Refund ok for parent deposit if not approved.
  8. Chaperone Duties and Responsibilities Assist with loading and unloading luggage from bus Supervise assigned group on bus, at rest areas, and restaurants while traveling Report discipline problems or concerns to Mrs. Bishop. Only I am authorized to deal with discipline issues on this trip .

Chaperone Duties and Responsibilities Make sure that students abide by the daily schedule (wake up and lights out) Make sure that students have park tickets and food money/coupons for the day Escort students on Disney transportation from hotel to park and between parks Travel with 7th grade groups while in parks. 8th grade groups will have set check-in times with their chaperones while in park.

  13. Friday, April 25, 2014 6:00AM- wake-up call 7:00AM- breakfast at hotel 7:45AM- all students are on the bus in their concert uniform 8:00AM- depart hotel for performance 8:15AM- arrive at warm-up area
  14. Friday, April 26, 2014 8:45AM- Group 1 warm-up 9:55AM- walk/setup for performance 10:10AM- Group 1 performance time at Saratoga Springs Resort and clinic with judge 10:45AM- Group 2 warm-up, performance, and clinic with judge 11:30AM- head to parks 12:00AM- lights out

Saturday, April 27, 2014 7:00AM – wake up call 7:30AM- breakfast at hotel 8:30AM – load busses: each group must be checked off by chaperone, then by Mrs. B in order to leave to go to the parks. 7:45PM –meet in front of Hollywood Studios Lights, Motors, Action! Theatre 8:15PM –awards ceremony 9:30PM – load busses, head home!

  20. Hotel Questions? All CMS students participating in this trip must stay with the group at the hotel. There is a refrigerator in each room. Rooms do not have access to pay-per-view TV. No students of opposite gender may be in a hotel room together.
  21. Hotel Rules Chaperones will be 2 to a room Chaperones will be assigned a room mate if I don’t hear from you by March 1. Adults must room with adults. Students will be 4 to a room Students will pick their room mates in February. NO CHANGES can be made to rooming lists after March 1. Students must room with students

  23. Transportation questions? Parents may drive separately, but may NOT take their children with them on either the trip down or back. Parents who drive are responsible for their own tolls, gas, etc.
  24. Bus rules Remain seated unless you are going to the bathroom No changing seats. Sit in your assigned seat. Only water. No soda, etc allowed. Snacks are permissible. Trash will be put in the trash bags and not on the floor. Seating is by gender.
  25. Bus rules Your iPod must have earphones! Parents, Please check what your kids are bringing on any portable media devices. The buses are equipped with DVD players. All movies selections must be submitted to me. No language, adult situations, etc. In other words, rated G.
  26. Bus rules No yelling, singing, tapping on seat backs, stomping feet, or any other activity that would annoy someone. (if you are doing this, I hope you like sitting with one of the chaperones for the rest of the trip.)
  27. Trip Rules and Consequences This is a school trip. As such, students are governed by all school rules and requirements. Any student that violates a school rule will face disciplinary action in Orlando and when we return to school. All rules will be available on my website by 10/1/2013. You need to review these with your child before we leave.
  28. Trip Rules and Consequences Address with your child the importance of good behavior. This is a reward trip for all of the hard work the students do every day. It only takes one student making a poor decision to potentially keep us from having any trips in the future.
  29. Trip Rules and Consequences If a student decides to violate school rules, they can be subject to: Loss of time in parks Office referral when we return to school A parent will be called to come and pick up their child.

Dress Code for Trip Men- Attire needs to be suitable for a family theme park (you are not with the plumbers union, keep your pants around your waist) Ladies- Attire needs to be suitable for a family theme park Bathing suits should keep all bits and pieces covered Bathing Suit Tops may be worn under shirts in the park
  31. Footwear Comfortable shoes for walking Shoes that you don’t mind getting wet A second pair of shoes to use if your first pair gets wet Please don’t bring your smelly, grass cutting shoes, guys!

  33. Luggage One suitcase for under the bus One carry on size bag If Mrs. B can backpack through Europe for 6 weeks with a bookbag, you can make it for four days with one suitcase!!!

  36. Recommended Packing List In addition to clothes, you may want to pack the following items: A pillow for the bus ride A pair of sweat pants: the bus will be cold Sunglasses, sunscreen, extra socks, band aids for blisters, extra undergarments, sleepwear, a toothbrush and tooth paste
  37. Packing List Boys must use soap and shampoo daily! Now is not the time to get in touch with your outdoorsy side. Bathing suit Ziploc bag to prevent tickets and money from becoming wet Spending money for souvenirs and extras
  38. Packing List Anything that I forgot to mention and you will need!! Ladies, please do not forget to bring any feminine products with you that you may need and I will refuse to go to the grocery store to get them for you when you discover you need them. Men- deodorant is not optional. Please use it daily.
