  8. Mid-Atlantic Culture Region • Settled by a mix of Europeans • Decisions are made, has a lot of Power, ethnic diversity, skyscrapers • Ex: Washington, D.C. • Capital: Manhattan, NY

  9. New England Culture Region (Rustic Northeast) • New England’s coast was settled by Pilgrims (Plymouth) & Puritans (Salem) Country roads/ Brick houses, fall leaves, “place to retreat to,” beaches of Cape Cod, lungs of megalopolis • Upstate New York • Capital: Burlington, Vermont
