THEMIS-SCM SUBSYSTEM MECHANICAL DESIGN PRE-AMPLIFIER Amplifiers (cubes) manufactured by 3D+ Master board design – CETP Design&manufacturing PA box– GDTECH Pre-Amplifier assembly – SREE (tbc) Qualification, testing – CETP 3D+ contract signed off Master board design in progress THM-SCM-PDR – 2003.10.10

  8. THEMIS-SCM ELECTRICAL DESIGN Sensitivity of BBM complies with THEMIS requirements. Mass lower than for Cluster; antenna length 17/27 cm. Sensitity loss ~3 db. THM-SCM-PDR – 2003.10.10

THEMIS-SCM FUNDING • FUNDING ALREADY OBTAINED FROM CNES • Funding of all the hardware is secured • Manufacturing SCM antennas • 3-axis structure • PA box • TO BE OBTAINED • -Tests: vibration, thermal vacuum… • Manpower paid by CNRS. • All team members are civil servants, with permanent positions. • SCM PA funded via contract between UCB&3D+ P THM-SCM-PDR – 2003.10.10
