  4. Sign Language • Different types of sign lang. • ASL • Pigeon signing • Name sign • Only a person who is Deaf can give you a name sign. • Looks at the person characteristics and mannerisms. • Not appropriate to watch a Deaf person sign • When you are not talking with them. (Public Place)

  5. Types of Communication • Lip reading • Not everyone can do this. • Speech training • Not all of them want to learn • Writing notes/instructions • Speaking louder • NOT yelling
