  2. Supply Order Form • IEEE Student Services offer many supplies to assist you in operating your branch. The order form is available at http://www.ieee.org/organizations/rab/rabfacts/index.html • These items include, paper copy of reporting forms, posters, information literature, award material , manuals, guides and supplies

  3. The many ways to get funding from IEEE sources • Easiest…get your Branch Report/Plan into headquarters on time. Not only is there a member rebate but $50 and $100 USD reporting bonus • Form and maintain active student branch chapters and receive $1 USD for each student chapter member

The many ways to get funding from IEEE sources • IEEE Canadian Foundation • McNaughton Centre Funding • Project Grants • Scholarships • S-PAC/S-PAVE (Student Professional Awareness Conference/Venture • Funding made available for ‘soft skill’ events (simply put NON-TECHNICAL event) Professional Awareness Topics for S-PAC/S-PAVe Typically a half day event with 2 or 3 speakers

  5. Professional Awareness Topics for S-PACs • Career Growth • Working • Professional Ethics and Social Responsibility • Self Management • Engineers and Public Policy • The Importance of a Professional Society and YOU

The many ways to get funding from IEEE sources • Student Branch Chapters/Societies and Affinity groups • Chapters and Societies provide extensive funding to student participants that include scholarships, paper presentation opportunities in conferences (often including travel expenses and awards)

  7. Getting your money back for this meeting Expense Report can be found at http://ewh.ieee.org/reg/7/administration/meetings/index.html Data should only be entered into cells that are shaded. The unshaded cells contain formulas that will calculate automatically. If the expense sheet does not calculate the GST amount exactly as it appears on supporting receipt, overwrite the formula with the GST amount from the receipt..

Getting your money back for this meeting • You MUST send an electronic copy of your expense form to both Cathie Lowell for review and approval at c.lowell@ieee.org Cathie will send you and Rob Anderson notification of approval once your report is in order. • You MUST send a hardcopy of your approved expense report and original receipts to Rob Anderson before he will process and issue a cheque

  9. Getting your money back for this meeting • We will approve all reasonable expenses ASK NOW …… Tonight…we are setting you free!!!! (you have a $30-$35 expense allowance for dinner) Tonight’s travel…share rides/stick together and BE SAFE…I haven’t lost a student yet and I’d like to keep it that way….
