The "Cougar Pride" program at Izard County High School encourages student success through incentives for perfect attendance, honor roll recognition, and proficiency on benchmark exams. Students who meet these criteria can earn rewards including ice cream parties, trips to the Burger Center, and bowling outings. The program aims to reinforce positive behaviors, motivating students to attend school daily and eager to learn. GOAL Our goal is to reinforce positive behaviors by giving incentives to students who qualify for the “Cougar Pride” program so that students will attend school every day eager to learn. home
Criteria • Perfect Attendance and good behavior • Honor Roll • Proficient on the Benchmark Exam • Advanced on the Benchmark Exam home
Perfect Attendance and Good Behavior Students will receive incentives for every quarter they qualify. The incentives are the following: • First time to qualify, students will earn an ice cream party. • Second time to qualify, students will earn a trip to the Burger Center and an ice cream party. • Third time to qualify, students will earn a “Cougar Pride” tee shirt and an ice cream party. • Fourth time to qualify, students will earn an ice cream party, as well as, a bowling trip and a pizza party at the end of the school year. home
Honor Roll Students who are on the honor roll for the first three nine weeks will receive a bowling trip and a pizza party at the end of the school year. home
Proficient on Benchmark Students who score proficient on one or more areas on the benchmark exam will receive a bowling trip and a pizza party in the fall of 2008. home
Advanced on the Benchmark Students who score advanced on one or more areas on the benchmark exam will receive a day off and a bowling trip/pizza party in the fall of 2008. home
