Calling the “mesero” over to the table • Colombia: people raise or clap their hands. • Costa Rica: people make a pfft sound. • Argentina: simply calling the waiter, “mozo”. • Chile: However in Chile, “mozo” is offensive. In Chile they say, “garzón” (young man). • Spain: simply call the waiter, “camarero/a” • México: either use “joven” or “mesero/a”
