  2. Shield volcano This is a small flat volcano. When this volcano explodes the lava floods over and dries and keeps drying to were it builds up to its gently sloping hill it is today.

  3. Composite volcano A composite volcano is a volcano that is tall and has a small opening. The layers of lava and ash make up this cone shape mountain.

  4. Cinder cone volcano A cinder cone volcano that is shaped like a cone and when they erupt they get their cone shaped body. When this volcano’s lava is thick and stiff it may produce ash, cinders, and bombs.

  5. Caldera A caldera is a volcano that when it erupts it erupts so hard that almost all is magma is gone. When every thing is gone nothing is inside to support it so the whole top of the mountain drops in. When it does this the mountain is then called a caldera

  6. Hot springs and Geysers Hot springs form when ground water is heated by magma rising from the ground then the presser of the heated water explodes and makes a hot spring. A geyser is a stream of hot water and steam erupting from the ground. Their energy source is called geothermal energy.

  7. Volcano’s , hot springs, and geysers are all alike in there own way. They all shoot something out of them and they all heat by magma and the all are formed in the earth. There a re also volcano’s under water and other weird places including on other planets. Volcano’s This is a under water volcano This volcano is on Mars
