  3. Causes • Excessive sun exposure • Sunburns early in life • Inherited through genes • UV rays from indoor tanning equipment

  4. Symptoms • Any change in skin appearance • ABCD Rule

  5. Treatments • Surgically removing the cancerous cells • Radiation therapy • Chemotherapy • Immunotherapy • Interferon

  6. Prevention • Use sunscreen everyday • Wear protective clothing • Minimize exposure to the sun • Refrain from sun tanning
