  23. Significant Safety Achievements- 7/14 • The Chemical Management System (CMS) self-assessment project is almost completed. All data has been collected and the draft report is being prepared. • The quarterly Satellite Accumulation Area inspections of EETD lab areas was completed. We had a 99% overall compliance rate. • WPC Activity Manager “projects” and “activities’ for EETD operations have been sent out for review. Initial set-up of the system has started in anticipation of the soft roll-out. • Chemical inventory lists were sent out to each lab area owner for review and update. The entire EETD inventory was reviewed and obvious corrections made. • An EETD Safety Alert was issued regarding proper storage and capping of needles used in the lab areas.

  24. Short Term Safety Outlook- 8/14 • Submit the completed Chemical Management System (CMS) self-assessment report. • Continue the set-up of the Work Planning and Control (WPC) “projects” and “activities” framework for EETD. • Continue to assist with start-up of the new FLEXLAB buildings. • Complete the flame resistant lab coat corrective action. • Address issues identified by the fire marshal in EETD buildings. • A large old chemical/sample clean-out is planned in 62-220 and 62-246. • Develop FLEXLAB user safety orientation training. • Develop area safety lead orientation training.
