Introduction What we will cover • What are exceptions and exception options • What can be configured? • Security considerations • How this can make your life easier
Exceptions and exception options What are they? • Exceptions are used to display lists of data in various states • For example: Active Applications • Exception options are used to perform tasks against individual records • For example: Update a household • There are a few exception options that are accessed directly from the left hand menu structure • For example: Add/Search household Remember • Exceptions are used to VIEW, Options are used to DO See this in action!
Exceptions How they can be configured? • Exceptions will have been setup for your configuration during implementation – some are for accessing all records and some show those records that need particular actions What can be changed? • Name • Columns • Search fields • Filtering • Ordering • Number of rows/records displayed (improving performance) See this in action!
Exception options How they can be configured? • Appropriate exception options are configured during your implementation • The first option AFTER the print option will be the screen shown when selecting a record What can be changed? • Name • Order • Visibility – Access to options in exceptions by role • Add or remove the options for ALL roles See this in action!
Summary How it can be configured? • Show your workload What can be changed? • Any exception can be shown Considerations • Changes affect everyone with access to that exception • Performance See this in action!
Menus How they can be configured? • The menu structure will have been configuredduring your implementation What can be changed • Menu structure is completely configurable • Folder naming conventions • Folder ordering • Ordering of exceptions/options within folders Considerations • Logical approach • Grouping menu items together See this in action!
Security considerations Controlling “Who can see what” Considerations • Roles - deciding what users need to access • Your main roles will have been configured during implementation What can be changed • Filtering exceptions by Local Authority or Team • Filtering exceptions by “Session Variables” • Controlling visibility of exceptions by role • Controlling visibility of exception options by role See this in action!
How this can make life easier Benefits • The look and feel of the system is improved • Overall system organisation improved • System usage improved • Use of Abritas becomes a better experience • If you would like further information on this workshop please indicate this on your client feedback form Please note
