The Future of Digital Engineering: Insights from Jim Crompton at the US Digital Oilfield Summit

At the December 10, 2013, Digital Oilfield USA Summit, Jim Crompton discussed the evolving role of the digital engineer and how today's workforce views digital engineering. He emphasized the importance of fostering a mindset in the education system that encourages continuous inquiry rather than merely seeking the "right" answer. By training students to explore beyond the initial solution, we can cultivate a generation of engineers who are adaptable and innovative. The future belongs to those who are willing to go beyond the first answer found.
