  2. Pictures • Urgently Forge Ahead and Bravely Advance with Great Leader Chairman Mao • This is a picture of Mao standing above and alone with a sea of red flags behind him which are his follower. It was common to see the poster in the homes of those who adored him. Many people saw it almost as an ideal but many still criticized him and the words that he came back with were unbreakable.

  3. Pictures • Military Drill at First Light • Yao Zhongyu 1974, Shanghai • This picture is of teenagers learning how to fight in combat. This picture is during the 1970s. This is for real and very deadly to be such a young person with very little training. In this picture they look scared and unprepared.

  4. Mao Zedong • Founded peoples Republic of China. • Built the Red Army and established rural soviets in the Hither lands. • Important communist theoreticians. • Influenced a lot of Third World revolutionaries with his ideas of guerilla warfare and revolutionary struggle. • Directed the Peasant Movement Training Institute.
