  2. A New Flowering of Village Culture; Scientific Farming Methods will Yield and Fruits This picture represents a traditional New Years in the time period of the Cultural Revolution. It shows us how Communists learned from the peasants and vice-versa.

  3. Urgently Forge Ahead and Bravely Advance with Great Leader Chairman Mao In this picture we see the leader Mao in front of a big crowd of people. This shows us how he has full support of his people in all of his decisions.

  4. April 24, 1945 “The people and the people alone, are the motive force in the making of world history.” The meaning of this quote is very significant because it is true. Mao most likely said this quote because what has happened years before us was made by the people that lived during this time. People do contribute to what is going on in the world, which soon becomes history for generations to come.

  5. November 6, 1938 “Every Communist must grasp the truth, Political power grows out of a barrel of a gun.” The meaning of this quote is deep and also true. This quote is saying that being a politics can be very powerful like a gun. It is meant to be a powerful policy that governs a society and can be used to regulate rules.

  6. Lin Biao • trained in the Whampoa Academy • became a Kuomintang commander -Chinese and Taiwanese political party • appointed commander of the Red Army Corps • Lead Red Academy in Yan’an • Became Pretense minister in 1956 • 1966, second ranking member of Chinese communist party.

  7. Strong supporter of the Cultural Revolution • Died September, 1971 • Died from plane crash in Mongolia -It was a failed plot to kill Mao Zedong -fleeing to the Soviet Union.

  8. Narrative “We have an army for fighting as well as an army for labour. For fighting, we have the Eighth Route and New Fourth Armies but even they do a dual job, warfare and production.
